
Bélo Day
Introduced in July 2014, the Bélo symbol and the message of Belong Anywhere became the heart of Airbnb’s identity. A year later, we launched Bélo Day—an annual global celebration that honors the anniversary of this mission and the meaningful, moving, and often delightfully unexpected moments our community creates around the world.
This was a deeply collaborative, cross-functional effort—bringing together teams from Brand, Internal Comms, Creative, Marketing, and Regional Offices. Bélo Day became one of the most impactful internal events of the year, celebrated across multiple countries simultaneously.
Bélo Day reminded every Airbnb employee why our work matters. It helped ground the company in its mission, foster emotional connection, and showcase how Airbnb’s global community brings the idea of “belonging” to life every day. The creative storytelling and experience design helped bridge business strategy with cultural meaning, reinforcing our role in shaping a more connected world.
