Airbnb IPO Internal Program + Celebration
The nature of this work is confidential, so unfortunately I can’t show any project visuals—but here’s a description of what I contributed to the campaign.
In December of 2020, Airbnb became a publicly traded company. Leading up to the big day of the S-1 flip, a small team of 3 designers, 1 writer, 1 filmmaker, and a group of lawyers strategized and executed a company-wide program to educate full-time employees on what it means to go public—culminating in internal events and moments of celebration across the company.
I was tasked with Art Directing the project across three key workstreams:
Storyboarded and helped the team establish a stage-by-stage employee experience that guided people through investor trainings, built excitement for the big day, and created content for internal IPO-related events, recaps, and celebrations.
Partnered with the Marketing team to build a visual identity system for all IPO-related materials—ranging from internal websites and communications to programs and live event productions.
Concepted, developed, and launched a very special gift in under a month—Our Airbnb Story book. This 175-page, 5-pound book captured memories from employees around the world, reinforcing a sense of belonging and unity. It was gifted to all 6,000+ employees and alumni as part of the internal celebration.
